Apple has officially unveiled a new model of the MacBook Neo laptop, which is now the most affordable in its lineup. Unlike the older devices on M-series processors, the new mobile chip is the A18 Pro, familiar from the flagship iPhone 16 Pro. According to the manufacturer, in everyday scenarios, Neo is 50% ahead of laptops with Intel Core Ultra 5, and in tasks related to artificial intelligence, the gap can reach three times.
The MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with up to 500 nits, 8 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. At a thickness of 12.7 mm, the device weighs 1.23 kg. The battery capacity is 36.5 W/h - enough for 16 hours of continuous video playback. The body includes two USB-C ports (versions 2.0 and 3.0), an audio output port and a 1080p HD camera. Touch ID fingerprint scanner is only available in the 512 GB memory version.
The new version will be available in four colors: silver, pink, yellow and blue. The 256 GB version is valued at $599, while the 512 GB modification is priced at $699. Pre-orders have already started, with the first deliveries scheduled for 11 March.
