Belarusian authorities have decided to provide humanitarian aid to Vietnam, which previously suffered a series of devastating natural disasters. The decision was made by President Alexander Lukashenko following a request for support from Hanoi.
This refers to the aftermath of the large-scale natural disasters that occurred in Vietnam in 2025. These disasters resulted in significant damage to infrastructure and populated areas, as well as loss of life. Belarus has decided to respond to its partner's request, guided by humanitarian principles and the long-standing partnership between the two countries.
Following the head of state's instruction, the Council of Ministers approved the parameters of the humanitarian delivery. It includes Belarusian-made goods intended to meet the basic needs of the population. The shipment includes 5.6 tons of condensed milk with sugar, 10 tons of sugar, 1,500 blankets, over 7,000 bedspreads, and 2,000 sets of bedding.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations, in conjunction with other agencies and organizations, will prepare the cargo. The aid delivery will be organized with the participation of the Ministry of Transport. The cargo is expected to be dispatched to Vietnam shortly after all preparation and logistics procedures are completed.
