In January 2026, Belarus increased its foreign exchange revenue by 9.9% year-on-year, reaching $3.574 billion. The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus published the corresponding data.
The main contributor to this growth was services exports, which increased by 27.3% to $854.2 million. Goods exports grew by 5.3% to $2.642 billion. At the same time, revenues decreased by 26.7%, while transfers increased by 24%.
Payments for imported goods and services remained virtually unchanged year-on-year, totaling $3.579 billion. However, goods imports decreased slightly, while services imports increased.
At the end of the month, a negative balance of $5 million was formed, which is significantly better than the figure for January 2025, when the deficit was $238 million.
