Russian Oil production stabilizes in March following decline

Russia's oil production volume remained virtually unchanged in March 2026, following three consecutive months of decline. According to OPEC data, output stood at 9.167 million barrels per day, compared to 9.164 million in February.

Notably, production remained 407,000 barrels per day below the level permitted under the OPEC+ agreement. These restrictions stem from ongoing attacks on infrastructure, which are complicating the export and refining of crude oil.

An additional source of pressure remains the uncertainty surrounding the U.S. authorization for purchasing Russian oil, which expired on April 11. This factor is impacting exporters' ability to capitalize on rising global demand.
