Belarus continues to experience a steady increase in real wages, which is providing support to domestic demand. According to a macroeconomic review by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), in February 2026, this indicator rose by 6.5% year-on-year, following a 6.3% increase the previous month.

Analysts note that higher growth rates persist within the public sector. Here, wages increased by 9.6%—a figure significantly exceeding the economy-wide average—thereby making an additional contribution to overall trends in household income.

This growth in remuneration is already being reflected in the level of public well-being. In January, citizens' disposable income rose by 7.5%, creating conditions conducive to expanded consumer activity and bolstering the domestic market.

Experts emphasize that this sustained positive income dynamic contributes to the stabilization of the economic situation and may serve as one of the key drivers for further economic growth in the short term.
