Belarus has significantly boosted its shipments of meat products to foreign markets. Over the period from 2020 to 2025, export volumes—measured in physical terms—increased more than 1.4-fold.
Belarus fully meets its domestic demand for meat; its self-sufficiency rate stands at approximately 140%. This surplus production enables the active expansion of exports, which remain a significant source of foreign currency revenue. The geographic scope of these shipments covers approximately 20 countries.
In terms of future growth, the strategic focus is placed on high value-added products. This includes beef, sausages, semi-finished meat products, and canned meats—a strategy that serves to enhance the industry's overall profitability.
