The former head of YouTube app architecture at Google and popular IT blogger Patrick Shue, known as TechLead, announced full sales of his Bitcoin. The main reason for this decision, he cited excessive use of the credit shoulder, which led to massive losses against the summer decline of the first cryptocurrency’s exchange rate to $60,000.

Shue admitted that the psychological pressure from losses and borrowed funds was beyond his control. In addition to personal mistakes, he noted the structural risks of a crypto market, particularly a decrease in liquidity compared to previous cycles. Also, former engineer Google expressed concern about the long-term security of Bitcoin network due to reduced miners' rewards, weak fee economies and potential threats from quantum computing.

Despite the full disengagement from the asset, Shue maintained a positive outlook on the long-term prospects of blockchain technology, but he compared the current market situation to "thin ice maintenance". His decision resonates with data from analysts who had previously pinpointed large holders' losses against a backdrop of prolonged price declines.
