Global passenger car and light commercial vehicle sales in March 2026 totaled approximately 8.206 million units, down 3.5% year-on-year, according to Avtostat.

At the end of the month, China once again took first place, overtaking the United States. Over 1.981 million vehicles were sold in the country, down 16.1% year-on-year. The American market totaled approximately 1.4 million units, down 13.2%.

European markets showed mixed dynamics. In Western Europe, sales increased by 10.1% to 1.61 million vehicles, while in Eastern Europe, the increase was 3.8%, reaching 385,120 units. South America demonstrated the largest growth, up 32.5% to 304,295 vehicles.
