Anthropic is close to closing a $1.5 billion deal with Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and other investors on Wall Street.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal. The major players - Anthropic, Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman - will invest around $300 million each, with Goldman Sachs adding around $150 million.

The project will focus on selling AI tools to companies that are supported by private equity funds. This opens up a potentially large customer base for Anthropic. Thus, the startup is strengthening its financial position in preparation for a possible initial public offering (IPO) this year.
