Since 6 April, Michael Saylor has added $1 billion to his portfolio of 13,927 bitcoins. The average purchase price was $71,902 per unit.
As a result, Strategy’s aggregate stock has grown to 780,897 BTC, which is valued at around $59 billion in monetary terms and equals 3.7% of the total issuance of the first cryptocurrency. The deal was financed through the issuance of perpetual preferred STRC securities, which last week sold for $1 billion.
At the same time, British MP and co-founder of Reform UK Nigel Farage purchased 37 BTC for $2.7 million to organize Stack BTC. This move made him the first sitting UK MP to invest openly in digital gold. Stack BTC now holds 68.1898 BTC. Run by former UK Treasury chief Kwazi Kwarteng, its mission is to provide citizens with access to Bitcoin through public financial instruments.
