MART files complaint with Russia’s FAS Regarding "pseudo-belarusian" goods

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus has submitted an appeal to Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) regarding the detection of unfair trade practices within the Russian market. The issue concerns the sale of products that are marketed as Belarusian but are, in fact, not.

Retail chains and online marketplaces have been found stocking goods bearing the "Made in Belarus" label—and even featuring state symbols—despite their foreign origin. In specific instances, these products are manufactured in Russia or China yet are accompanied by misleading information.

MART anticipates that the Russian authorities will take appropriate measures to protect both the market and consumers.
