In California, three men have been charged with assaulting crypto holders. According to the investigation, they have stolen at least $6.5 million. Figures in the case were Elijah Armstrong, Nino Chindawan and Jayden Raker. Between November and December 2025, attackers tracked down victims in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas, introduced themselves as couriers, broke into homes, and threatened to blackmail SI-phrases with cryptocopels.

According to the indictment, at least four people were injured. One of them, under duress, transferred $6.5 million worth of cryptocurrency to an address controlled by the attackers. The Prosecutor described the scheme as planned, brazen and extremely dangerous.

All three were detained as early as December 2025. They are accused of collusion for the purpose of robbery and kidnapping. The hearings on Armstrong and Raker are scheduled for 13 May, and in Chindava for 26 June. The SI-phrase gives full access to the wallet, and canceling a blockchain transaction is virtually impossible, so the physical safety of crypto owners comes first.
