National Bank of Belarus recorded growth in long-term lending to enterprises

In February 2026, Belarusian banks continued to increase lending to the economy. The main growth came from loans in national currency. This was reported by BelTA in the press service of the National Bank.
The annual increase in debt owed to legal and natural persons amounted to 11.3%. At the same time, ruble loans grew faster - by 14.8%. The trend toward more active business lending continues.
The debt on loans in Belarusian rubles for legal entities increased by 16.8%, for physical - by 11.8%. The largest demand remained for long-term loans to businesses, which grew by 31.4% year on year, while short-term loans increased by 1%.
