The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has issued the largest commemorative coin in the country's history—a piece from the "Chinese Calendar" series weighing 1.5 kilograms. The new release is already on sale, and according to the regulator, the first specimens have already found buyers.

The coin stands out not only for its weight but also for its technical specifications. It measures 160 mm in diameter, features a dodecagonal (12-sided) shape, and was produced using sophisticated minting techniques, gilding, and semi-precious stone inlays. These parameters make the piece unique not only within Belarus but also on the global numismatic market.

This release marks the final installment in a series that has been running since 2011 and is dedicated to the symbols of the Eastern calendar. The new coin brings together all the previous releases, making it particularly appealing to collectors who may have missed the opportunity to acquire individual pieces earlier.

The mintage is limited to 500 units, a factor that further fuels interest in this new release. The National Bank anticipates that the entire batch will sell out quickly, driven by the rarity of the format and the coin's inherent collectible value.
