Perplexity announced the launch of a new service called Personal Computer, a cloud AI agent specifically designed for Apple Mac mini devices. The solution provides connectivity between the local computer applications and the cloud platform Perplexity Computer, automating a number of user tasks. According to the developers, the agent operates around the clock, interacting with files, programs and active sessions without human participation.

Data is processed in a secure environment, and assistant management can be done remotely from any device and any location. Initially, the service will only be available to a limited number of users who have already opened the waiting list.

The company has not yet disclosed the exact timing of a full product launch.
