Pump fun rejected the tokenized agent mode

Pump fun dropped the Tokenized Agent feature for new token launches, explaining that the regime was creating an excessive competition between coins and swapping traders. Platform co-founder Alon Cohen noted that instead of reinforcing narratives, the function provoked griefing and unnecessary PVP when projects competed over launch format rather than content. The change took effect immediately, but the tokens already created with agent mode enabled will continue to work without any changes.
Originally, Tokenized Agents were conceived as a way to launch oncheen agents with automatic mechanisms for buyout and burning of tokens, linking the membranes to the theme of AI-agents. In practice, however, the function created chaos: coins began to compete with each other due to the mechanics of the launch, which distracted attention from the projects themselves and reinforced distrust in the already chaotic market of the coin. Cohen called removing agent mode the first step to forgoing lounge options that don’t add enough value to users.
The community welcomed the decision, with many traders calling it a successful move to simplify the platform. Pump fun does not abandon the tokenized agent theme entirely: the function may come back in a different form, but no longer as the default option when started. This is not the first time a platform has revised tools due to abuse - a similar fate previously reached the function of streams and marketing Pump Fun GO.
