Russia has imposed restrictions on imports of products from a Belarusian beef producer. According to Rosselkhoznadzor notifications, the import of frozen boneless beef from OOO Aleksandrov in the Minsk region has been banned effective March 30, 2026.

The ban was imposed following the repeated detection of coliform bacteria in the products. The agency emphasized that the identified violations were systemic, necessitating the implementation of restrictive measures.

At the same time, laboratory monitoring has been strengthened for products from five other Belarusian companies. Specifically, Listeria monocytogenes bacteria were detected in chicken by-products from the state-owned enterprise Belorusneft-Osobino, and coliforms were detected in cottage cheese from OAO Bellakt.

Additional concerns apply to fish and dairy products. Elevated levels of microorganisms were detected in trout steaks from the Morskaya Gavan company and hot-smoked Baltic herring from the Ekomore company. Yeast was detected in products from Smolevichi Moloko CJSC.

These measures are aimed at strengthening quality control of supplied products and preventing products that do not meet sanitary requirements from entering the market.
