The hammer will be replaced by a women’s bag made of what the designers call «Tyrannosaurus skin». The starting price of the boat is about $660,000. Back in 2025, a group of companies announced the development of «harsh and environmentally friendly» alternative raw materials based on reconstructed dinosaur proteins.

The technology uses collagen fragments extracted from the fossil remains of Tyrannosaurus. The restored protein chains served as a basis for growing material in the laboratory - without using animal raw materials. Designer Michal Hadas (brand Enfin Levé) noted that this material behaves completely different from the usual leather, and the surface of the accessory adorns three cut-outs, stylized under scratches from predators' claws.

The scientists received the news with great skepticism. Paleontologist Thomas Holtz, Jr. stated that there are no DNA samples of the skin of a Tyrannosaurus suitable for collagen synthesis and that this is happening «more like science fiction». It is extremely difficult to restore a collagen from fossils with high precision, so the true "dinosaur" origin of the material remains in question.
