Tom Lee, co‑founder of Fundstrat Capital and chairman of the board at BitMine, the largest public holder of ether, proposed using the Ethereum blockchain for the needs of artificial intelligence and robotics. This was the businessman’s response to a publication citing research from Stanford University. The authors of the scientific paper argued that the largest artificial intelligence models converge towards a single intelligence through training cycles based on synthetic data, demonstrating a 98 % similarity in reasoning chains. Li sees no threat in this and claims that what is happening only increases the demand for blockchain, since smart contracts make it possible to transparently verify and control the actions of artificial intelligence.

The chairman of BitMine mentioned a new Chinese humanoid robot that can jump almost two meters and run at a speed of twelve and six tenths meters per second, significantly outpacing human physical capabilities. According to Li, the Ethereum blockchain could be used to verify and control the actions of robots. The businessman is confident that Ethereum and smart contracts will allow humanity to maintain control over the actions of AI robots as their capabilities surpass those of humans.

Tom Lee also commented on a publication by Bitcoin Magazine, which stated that BlackRock, a company managing assets worth fifteen trillion dollars, remains optimistic about Bitcoin despite a fifty‑percent drop from its October historical high of one hundred and twenty‑six thousand one hundred and ninety‑eight dollars. The businessman agreed with BlackRock representatives, who claim that cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly intertwined; however, in his opinion, it is Ethereum that will be most commonly used in the field of AI and robotics. The entrepreneur noted that currently the price ratio of ETH to BTC is 0.02994 and continues to grow, overcoming its long‑term downward trend. The previous growth in the ratio was linked to the boom in initial coin offerings, non‑fungible tokens, and stablecoins, Lee recalled. He expects that the tokenization of assets of major American financial companies and the development of AI agents will become a new growth catalyst. Earlier, Ethereum co‑founder Vitalik Buterin expressed concerns about highly advanced artificial intelligence. According to the developer, if AI is left unchecked, it may turn against humanity.
