Unity has released financial results for the second quarter of 2026, which management described as record-breaking in the company's public history. Total revenue reached $546 million, which is 24% higher than in the same period last year. The AI platform Unity Vector became a key driver of growth, which provided a significant increase in revenue in the segment of advertising and marketing solutions. Matt Bromberg, CEO of the company, also noted the positive impact of the announced product roadmap related to the preparation for the release of Unity 7.
Financial indicators showed improvement in all key metrics. The company's net loss decreased to $23 million with a margin of 4%, which is a significant improvement over the loss of $107 million and a margin of 24% for the same period in 2025. Strategic revenue, reflecting the main directions of business development, increased by 38%, reaching $ 486 million. The Grow Solutions segment, which includes advertising and user solutions, showed the most pronounced dynamics. Revenues of this division increased by 35% year-on-year, amounting to 389 million dollars. The main contribution to the growth was made by the Unity Ads Network, enhanced by the capabilities of the Vector AI platform to optimize advertising campaigns and attract users. This growth was partially offset by a decrease in ironSource, which was discontinued earlier in 2026 as part of the reorganization of the company's product portfolio.
The Create Solutions segment, focused on developer tools, showed moderate growth of 2% to $158 million. The increase in subscription revenue was partially offset by a decrease in revenue from cloud and hosting services after an earlier review of the product portfolio. In May 2026, Unity released a set of AI tools for versions of Unity 6 and higher, the key feature of which was the Agentic Assistant. This assistant integrates into game projects and helps developers make better use of the engine's capabilities. As part of the product strategy, the company confirmed plans to release Unity 7. The new version of the engine is described as a direct continuation of Unity 6, while new features will be gradually implemented and tested within the current version. Beta testing of Unity 7 is scheduled for December 2026, and a full commercial release is expected in the first quarter of 2027. This approach will ensure smooth migration of existing projects and minimize the risks associated with the transition to a new version of the platform.
