The US Department of Justice has announced the freezing of more than $701 million in digital assets derived from a fraudulent investment scheme. Funds were frozen through cooperation with cryptocurrency exchanges and legal proceedings. At the same time, law enforcement seized a Telegram channel through which attackers recruited job-seekers from the US by offering them "blind" participation in cryptocurrency pseudo-investment deals. The investigation believes that the center of control of the scheme was in Cambodia.

The operation also closed 503 fake domain-confiscation notification investment sites. Criminal charges have been brought against two Chinese nationals, Huang Xinshan and Jiang Wen Jie, who, according to the investigation, operated a fraudulent facility on the grounds of the Shunda complex in Burma. The US State Department has awarded $10 million in compensation for information that helps to disrupt similar Tai Chang centers.

Additionally, at the request of US authorities, the USDT stablecoin issuer Tether blocked more than $344 million. Funds were held in two wallets on the Tron network - approximately $213 million and $131 million, respectively.
