70% of Pump Fun tokens die on launch day: analysts reveal survival statistics

CoinGecko analysts examined 18.6 million tokens created on the Pump Fun platform from January 2024 to June 2026, and found shocking statistics: about 70% of assets (12.8 million) stop trading on their launch day. In the first two days, activity falls for 80% of all issued coins, and only 4.5% of projects continue to be traded beyond three months.
Experts associate high "mortality" with an extremely low threshold for platform access. Creators generate a stream of tokens and quickly drop projects if they do not receive immediate attention and coverage. Statistics only account for trading on the internal Pump fun algorithm, so actual survival rates may be slightly higher, but external decentralized exchanges like Raydium receive only 1% of projects.
The CoinGecko data confirm a general trend of degradation in platform quality: since August 2025, key metrics of the protocol, including the number of token launches and commission volume, show a steady decline.
