A family from the United States discovered an extensive collection of Pokemon collectible cards in the house of an elderly relative, the preliminary estimate of which reaches 250 thousand dollars. The find was the result of many years of grandmother's requests to help sort out the items accumulated over the decades. Initially, family members expected to find only a few souvenirs from childhood, but during the search, several boxes with sealed boosters of the Fossil set, three factory packages of the same set and rare Charizard cards of the first edition were found under the TV stand.

According to the inventory, the collection includes more than seventy sealed boosters, each with a market value of hundreds of dollars, as well as original starter kits and a sealed Pokedex toy from the nineties. Additionally, the archive contains albums with maps from the Fossil and Jungle sets, Digimon maps, and Topps products. The uniqueness of the find is confirmed by the surviving receipts from the eBay platform, which document the purchase history and allow you to accurately determine the origin of each copy. Some experts of the collector's market believe that the real value of the discovered items may significantly exceed the initial estimate.

The history of the collection's formation turned out to be unexpected for all family members. Many years ago, my grandmother purchased cards for her two eldest grandchildren, but at the same time she systematically put aside additional packages in reserve, without informing her relatives about it. The younger brothers were interested in another collectible card game at that time, so they did not suspect the existence of a secret vault. In addition to Pokemon cards, the house also contains an impressive selection of comic books, including issues about the Justice League, and movie cards from the eighties based on popular franchises.
