The Alchemy platform, together with Visa, has launched AgentCard service that allows AI agents to make online purchases and payments on behalf of users. Integration with Visa Intelligent Commerce provides networks with a virtual map, email, phone number and cryptocoin through a single API that allows developers to set up payment in minutes.

Agents based on OpenAI or Anthropic models will be able to book tickets, order products and renew subscriptions independently, with the limits and category restrictions set by the user. By default, payments are made through Visa tokens with the bank bonuses being retained, but with a merchant’s support, the system can use cryptocurrency. CEO Alchemy Nikiel Visvanathan named AI-agents as new participants in the world economy. The launch of AgentCard was another step in the development of infrastructure for offline AI: previously, similar solutions for cryptopayments and trading were introduced by MetaMask and Coinbase.
