Anthropic has expanded the capabilities of AI agent Claude Cowork: users can now control it from smartphones via the updated Claude app on Android and iOS. The new Cowork tab in the sidebar lets you track tasks that an agent performs on your home computer and approve actions via push notifications. Important: the update does not allow to automate tasks on the phone itself - it is a remote monitoring and control tool.

Key improvements include running tasks in the background (previously required a stable connection) and a confirmation mechanism: "Nothing is sent until you have checked and approved it." In the future, Anthropic plans to combine Cowork with the main chat bot for a single interface, and integrate Projects (grouping chats and files) and Artifacts (mini-apps that Claude creates).
