Anthropic, the creator of the Claude language model, has published the results of a large-scale study called Anthropic Economic Index. According to data, the speed of AI adoption in the US is ten times faster than that of previous technologies. Economists predict that at the current level of model development, the global economy will grow by about 1.8% annually over the next decade - a rate comparable to the effects of the Internet revolution.

The main conclusion of the study is that modern AI systems already handle about half the tasks in a wide variety of professions. There is a growing gap between high- and low-income countries in the rate of technology adoption. Anthropic representative Sarah Heck emphasized that the company aims not only to collect data but also to help businesses adapt - through retraining and finding solutions for the inevitable crowding out of certain professions.
