Apple’s autumn presentation, where the debut of the company’s first foldable smartphone is expected, may take place on September 9, 2026. The company has not yet officially confirmed the event’s date. According to Tom’s Guide, one of the main announcements at the event will be the first foldable smartphone, which is referred to in publications as the iPhone Ultra.
Earlier, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman named September 8 as the most likely date for the presentation, while also suggesting that the event could be held on the 9th. According to MacRumors, Apple has already begun organizational preparations for the presentation in the first half of September. However, the final date is still unknown, and the new September event has not yet been published on Apple’s official event page.
The presentation is expected to feature the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, as well as the first foldable iPhone, the name of which has not yet been officially confirmed. According to sources, the foldable model will have two screens: an external display with a diagonal of about five and five‑tenths inches and an internal display of about seven and eight‑tenths inches. The device is also associated with the A20 processor and two main cameras, but the specifications remain unofficial for now.
At the same time, the regular iPhone 18 is not expected to be part of the September lineup. It, along with the iPhone 18e and the next generation of the iPhone Air, may be unveiled in spring 2027. If the presentation does take place on September 9, sales of the new devices may start later in the same month, although Apple has not yet announced the exact dates.
