Apple, according to reports from relevant publications, plans to postpone the presentation of its smart glasses, developed under the code name N50, at the WWDC conference in 2027. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman notes that the primary reason for this delay is the need for careful consideration of user privacy mechanisms. The company is carefully studying the market reaction to competitors' similar devices, recognizing that public sensitivity to camera access, hidden video recording capabilities, and data processing by artificial intelligence systems requires the introduction of the most reliable and transparent solutions before the product enters the market.

To minimize potential privacy risks, Apple management is evaluating several architectural concepts for the future device. One of the scenarios under consideration involves the release of a version of smart glasses completely devoid of a camera module, with a focus on audio communication, voice control, and hands-free AI assistant functions. An alternative option being discussed internally involves integrating a full-fledged camera system, but with hardware or software limitations that exclude the possibility of saving photos or videos. In this case, optical sensors will be used exclusively for scanning the surrounding space and transmitting visual data to machine learning algorithms in real time.

In addition to developing next-generation wearable electronics, the corporation continues to expand its core hardware ecosystem. Insider sources report preparations for the release of three new smartwatch models, updated versions of Mac personal computers, and the introduction of a device leasing program. Additionally, the company is strengthening its strategic partnership with Ford Motor Company in the field of mapping services. Apple's increased attention to data protection standards is also driven by industry precedents: in particular, Meta Platforms recently faced a class action lawsuit regarding the processing of confidential user materials recorded by wearable devices, which underscores the critical importance of strict regulation in this technology segment.
