The Austrian technology group AT&S has entered into an agreement with AMD and the unnamed IT company on investments ranging from €1.5 to €2 billion in the expansion of production of IC substrats for AI and high-performance computing. The main capacity will be deployed at the plant in Kulima (Malaysia), where the company is using existing lines and equipping a previously vacant building, as well as at the facility in Chongqing (China) to meet the needs of the key customer.

In light of this deal, AT&S has significantly revised its financial forecast for fiscal year 2026/27: the company now expects revenue growth of 45-55% instead of the previously announced 30-35%. In the previous fiscal year 2025/26, AT&S’s revenue amounted to €1.8bn, an increase of 21% compared to the previous period. The company operates plants in Austria, China, Malaysia and India, supplying components for automotive, medical and mobile devices.
