Belarus and Turkey are considering expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector. Prospects for increasing mutual exports were discussed by Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Gorlov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık.

By the end of 2025, the bulk of Belarusian exports to Turkey will be baby food, skim and whole milk powder, butter, and cheese. Imports from Turkey will primarily consist of fruits, berries, fish, vegetables, and confectionery.

Belarus intends to expand its exports to the Turkish market. Priorities include beef, poultry, and dairy products, including cheese, milk powder, and butter. Special attention will be given to the issue of Belarusian beef approval: relevant services will continue to coordinate veterinary requirements and certification procedures.

Following the meeting, a commitment to further deepening cooperation, harmonizing regulatory frameworks, and intensifying direct contacts between businesses in the two countries was confirmed. The Turkish side noted the high quality of Belarusian products and expressed interest in expanding trade cooperation.
