The Ministry of Finance of Belarus reported on the expansion of the range of measuring ingots made from precious metals due to the growing interest of the population. Since March 2026, silver bars weighing 50 grams have been on sale. The decision was made based on a demand analysis and numerous customer requests.

In recent years, Belarusians are increasingly looking at precious metals as a way to save. The reasons are rising world prices for gold and silver, and declining confidence in foreign currencies. Production of import replacement products was established in 2022 by the Ministry of Finance and "Gomel PO" "Crystal". The first gold ingots were stamped with values of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 grams. By the end of 2025, the assortment was expanded to gold ingots from 1 to 1000 grams, and silver ingots - 100, 250, 500 and 1000 grams. Now we’ve added 50-gram silver.

The public can buy bars in banks, as well as in the retail network "Belüвелирторг". The Ministry of Finance implements them to economic entities, banks and non-bank credit and financial organizations.
