Binance Has Not Resumed HYPE Withdrawals Eight Days After the Hack

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced on November 6, 2026, another phase of restoring digital asset withdrawals following a major security incident on October 29. However, the Hyperliquid token (HYPE) was once again not included in the published list, leaving exchange users with limited access to withdraw the asset to external wallets for about eight days.

In its ninth update on the restoration of operations, Binance clarified that starting at 04:00 UTC, it will gradually open withdrawals for additional cryptocurrencies across nine blockchain networks.

The new list covers BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Tron, and Sui. Among the assets scheduled for restoration are XRP, PENDLE, ZRO, AXL, CAKE, MORPHO, and other tokens.

However, HYPE, the native token of the Hyperliquid blockchain and the decentralized trading ecosystem of the same name, is absent from the list.

The market capitalization of HYPE at the time of the original publication was estimated at approximately $18.6 billion. However, the size of the asset does not determine the order of withdrawal resumption on Binance.

Why HYPE Withdrawals Remain Unavailable

Binance explained that the restoration of operations is being conducted gradually. Security checks and technical readiness are provided for each combination of cryptocurrency and network.

The exchange also reported that it considers user demand over the previous week when determining the order of restoration.

Therefore, assets from the published list may become available at different times, not simultaneously with the onset of 04:00 UTC.

Binance did not specify the exact reason for the delay in HYPE withdrawals or the anticipated date for the resumption of operations.

The absence of the token in the latest update raised questions among members of the Hyperliquid community.

On-chain researcher MLM noted that HYPE did not appear on the list, despite his claim that no tokens of this asset were stolen during the incident.

However, Binance has not provided detailed information on the status of HYPE reserves and has not confirmed that the restriction is related to a shortage or the need for additional token acquisition.

In a previous update on November 4, the exchange reported that it had replenished about 98% of affected cryptocurrency reserves using its own funds. The remaining assets continue to be acquired through the market and over-the-counter deals.

This figure reflects the replenishment of reserves, not the return of the same share of stolen funds from the attackers.

Binance stated that deposits remain available, although already restored withdrawal operations may be processed with delays due to high load and additional checks.

The exchange recommends users check the availability of withdrawals directly on the page of the selected asset and blockchain network.

As of November 6, the published Binance messages do not contain a date for the restoration of HYPE withdrawals. There is also no official confirmation that the prolonged restriction has led to the loss of client funds specifically in this token.
