Bitcoin Dominance Rises to 60% Amid Altcoin Decline

Bitcoin's dominance in the altcoin market has risen to 60% as most altcoins continue to show negative dynamics. Although Bitcoin's price remained relatively stable over a 24-hour interval, its dominance increased amid the ongoing decline of altcoins. Meanwhile, Bitcoin was rejected from the $87,000 mark for several days at the beginning of the previous business week, leading to its drop to a multi-week low of $80,400 on Thursday evening.

After losing nearly $7,000 in 72 hours, the cryptocurrency finally returned to levels around $83,000 over the weekend and remained there for 36 hours, even testing the $84,400 mark on Monday morning. However, a new pullback followed, and by Tuesday, Bitcoin was once again slightly below $81,000. At the moment, it is trading in the range of $83,000 - $84,000.

Amid market fluctuations, its dominance reached 60% on CoinMarketCap (CMC), while Bitcoin's market capitalization remained virtually unchanged at $1.670 trillion. Meanwhile, most major altcoins remain in the "red zone": Ethereum has fallen back to $2,500, XRP has moved further away from the $1.40 level, and Solana has dropped to $107. Losses also affected RAIN, which fell by nearly 10%, and QNT, which dropped by 7.5%. At the same time, some altcoins like ZEC, XMR, TRX, and BCH are showing slight increases, while BTW rose by 47% to over $2.60. Overall, the cryptocurrency market capitalization fell by another 0.5%, amounting to $2.790 trillion on CMC.
