Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $526.64 million in outflows per week from June 29 to July 3, and Ethereum ETFs lost $13.67 million. This is the eighth consecutive week of net capital outflows, with more than $8.2 billion withdrawn from Bitcoin funds and about $1.2 billion withdrawn from Ethereum funds. Trade week in the US was curtailed by Independence Day, which could affect trading volumes.
Bitcoin ETF flows remained negative for most of the week, with outflows on June 29 ($231.10 million), June 30 ($222.64 million) and July 1 ($294.62 million) partially offset by inflows on July 2 ($221.72 million). The situation was similar in Ethereum ETFs: after outflows at the beginning of the week on 1-2 July, inflows of $14.89 million and $29.08 million respectively were recorded, but this was not enough to reverse the weekly trend.
Amid the outflow from large funds, Altcoin ETFs showed better dynamics: XRP-, SOL-, HYPE- and LINK-funds ended the week with net inflows, while DOGE-ETFs recorded small outflows of more than $870,000. Previously, the SEC had acknowledged mistakes in its approach to cryptocurrency ETFs and announced a shift to neutrality when considering new products.
