Bitmine Immersion Technologies Increases Ether Reserves to 5.8 Million Coins

Bitmine Immersion Technologies Corporation acquired 32,447 ether (ETH) coins worth approximately $82 million during the reporting week. As a result of these actions, the company’s total asset holdings reached 5,847,611 ETH. The average acquisition price for these coins is $2,440 per unit. In addition to ether, the organization’s asset structure includes 210 bitcoins (BTC), shares in the media company Beast Industries worth $180 million, and shares in Eightco Holdings worth $89 million. The company also has cash and securities worth $308 million..

Tom Lee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bitmine, stated that, taking into account the latest purchase, the company controls 4.8% of the total supply of ether, which is estimated at 120.7 million coins. Thus, the corporate initiative “Alchemy 5%”, which involves accumulating 5% of all ether coins in circulation, has been 97% completed. Purchases of the asset have been carried out weekly since the launch of the Ethereum Treasury Strategy (ETH Treasury Strategy) on June 30, 2025.. Over the past week, the ether price has increased by 30%, reaching $2,480. Tom Lee noted that this is the most significant weekly increase since May 2025, when the asset grew by 170%, and compared the dynamics with the indicators from July 2021, when the growth amounted to 167%. The chairman of the board of directors linked the current price dynamics to macroeconomic factors, including decisions by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to increase the volume of government debt purchases, which affects the allocation of capital to alternative asset classes.

Bitmine’s management also pointed to the expected stabilizing effect of regulatory changes. In particular, it mentions the GENIUS Act, adopted in the summer of 2025, which regulates the circulation of stablecoins, and the establishment of a dedicated cryptocurrency unit within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Tom Lee drew a historical parallel between these processes and the abolition of the gold standard for the US dollar in 1971, noting that the transition to fiat money with a floating exchange rate laid the foundation for the development of modern financial systems.

In addition to accumulation, the company uses assets to generate income within the blockchain network. As of August 23, 2026, Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ether, with a total value of $12.4 billion. To handle large institutional volumes, the MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network) staking platform was launched in early 2026. According to the company’s internal forecasts, the annual income from these operations will amount to $330 million.

Against the backdrop of this strategy, the behavior of Strategy, the largest public holder of Bitcoin, stands out. It has 840,447 BTC at its disposal, worth $70 billion. The organization has not made any purchases of the first cryptocurrency for seven consecutive weeks, starting in July. Moreover, in early August, Strategy sold 1,690 bitcoins, receiving $108.6 million in liquidity.
