Blockchain.com Targets $500 Million IPO

Blockchain.com plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) by the end of 2026, aiming to raise around $500 million. The expected valuation of the company will be between $4 billion and $6 billion, significantly lower than the peak of $14 billion recorded in 2022. According to Bloomberg, Blockchain.com filed a registration document project with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in May 2026. Currently, the details of the offering and the number of shares to be offered are still under discussion and may change. A company spokesperson declined to comment on the Bloomberg report.

The expected valuation range of $4 billion to $6 billion will still be less than half of the $14 billion achieved during the Series D funding round in March 2022. Amid further declines in the cryptocurrency market, Blockchain.com raised $110 million in a Series E round organized by Kingsway Capital, valuing the company at less than half of its previous valuation.

The company continues to evolve, having signed an agreement with the NYSE to explore opportunities for tokenizing stocks and investment funds. This agreement could provide Blockchain.com users access to tokenized stocks; however, its implementation depends on regulatory approvals. Currently, Blockchain.com has reported over 44 million verified accounts. Additionally, since the beginning of 2026, Blockchain.com has expanded its trading offerings by adding perpetual contracts for asset management. The company's IPO will come amid uncertainty in the markets, where many recent stock offerings from crypto companies have shown price declines after initial growth.
