Chainlink has introduced CCIP 2.0, which allows institutions to better control asset flows between blockchains. This protocol enables tokenized funds to move assets across different blockchains while adhering to compliance parameters set by the issuer. The launch of CCIP 2.0 comes amid growing institutional interest in tokenization, payments, and stablecoins, increasing the demand for infrastructure that facilitates interaction between various blockchains. Additionally, Chainlink's collaboration with SWIFT will provide a bridge to the traditional financial sector.

According to data from RWA.xyz, over the past 90 days, the value of real-world assets (RWA) secured by CCIP has dropped by more than 50%, indicating that the adoption of the protocol has not yet led to growth. However, CCIP 2.0 is launching at a time when institutional investor activity on the blockchain is beginning to increase. With the rising demand for tokenized assets, stablecoins, and on-chain payments, CCIP could become a popular method for moving assets and data between chains. Analysts are questioning whether Chainlink and its CCIP 2.0 can change the situation with the declining RWA price and leverage the growing institutional interest to create a new cycle of growth.

Currently, the LINK token has increased by more than 30% this month, reaching nearly $15. While Ethereum has only risen by 9% during the same period, this makes LINK's growth more than three times that of ETH. At a recent peak, LINK reached $14.89. Meanwhile, the number of non-empty wallets has dropped to 912,020, which may indicate that some small holders are taking profits. Nevertheless, the price of LINK continues to rise despite the outflow, which could suggest interest from large holders. Given the current dynamics and the planned launch of CCIP 2.0, there is every chance that institutional accumulation will help maintain LINK's price at a high level until the end of the year.
