Chairman Bitmine Lee: Ethereum could surpass $60,000 in coming years

Tom Lee, the chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies' board at Paris Blockchain Week, said that the market had probably passed the "mini-crypto" phase, and in the foreseeable future, Ethereum could soar above $60,000. The expert attributed his optimism to the achievement of local bottom equity indices against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions and the expected exit of the airwaves from protracted consolidation. Growth drivers, in his view, will be real asset tokenization projects and the spread of AI agents.

The fair value of a second-highest cryptocurrency on the horizon for several years was estimated by Lee at $62,000, which is roughly one-quarter of the price potential of Bitcoin. Remarkably, such a bold forecast came at the same time that Bitmine released its quarterly report, which reported a net loss of $3.82 billion. The major balance-sheet blow was a revaluation of air reserves, which had lost $3.78 billion due to the market crash.
