Binance founder Changpeng Zhao wrote on Thursday that, amid all the talk about Bitcoin, many have overlooked the prospect of Hyperliquid being introduced by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. In his view, this initiative will benefit the entire crypto industry, not just a single project. As is known, on August 19, U.S. authorities stated that the CFTC is working to bring the decentralized perpetual futures exchange Hyperliquid to the U.S. market.
Zhao noted that this is not just about Hyperliquid. Users from the United States will have access to a variety of perpetual decentralized exchanges and services, which is extremely positive for all industry participants. The founder of Binance expressed this opinion during a blockchain symposium at the SALT conference in Wyoming.
The U.S. CFTC has already taken steps to approve certain perpetual contracts on registered exchanges and has issued relevant guidelines. As previously reported, even the Kalshi prediction market has launched trading in Hyperliquid perpetual contracts. Hyperliquid has attracted the attention of Wall Street with its support for perpetual futures on the network, offering high leverage and deep liquidity. However, users in the US were largely restricted from using decentralized derivative products due to regulatory constraints.
At present, Changpeng Zhao is right in saying that the HYPE token, Bitcoin, and the crypto market as a whole have already benefited from the statements of US regulators. The price of Bitcoin broke out of consolidation around the $63,000 level and added nearly $10,000 to reach $72,900. Altcoins followed Bitcoin’s positive trend, demonstrating the broad positive effect of regulators’ statements about their readiness to work with the crypto industry.
