The Chinese superconducting quantum computer Origin Wukong integrated the architecture of post-quantum encryption (PQC) through the built-in software module Origin Rock. -72 Cube system has already completed more than 1 million computing tasks in protected mode, protecting data from attacks by both classical and future quantum algorithms. According to the Global Times, the technology prevents the threat of "harvest now, decrypt later" and is already being tested by Chinese enterprises and government agencies.
Since its public launch more than two years ago, Origin Wukong has recorded 49 million visits from users in 192 countries. The implementation of PQC-protection is in line with China’s plan to establish national standards for post-quantum cryptography, which authorities intend to adopt over the next three years to ensure critical infrastructure security.
Previously, developers of Quantus had stated that the crypto industry was not yet ready for a transition to post-quantum cryptography, despite progress in quantum computing.
