China launched an experimental communications satellite with the Changzhen-7

On Tuesday, 23.06.2026, China successfully launched a new spacecraft designed to test advanced communication technologies. The mission was launched from the Wenchan Cosmodrome, located on Hainan Island in the south of the country.
The launch took place at 10:10 PM Beijing time. The upgraded version of the "Changcheng-7" rocket (Long March-7) was used as a launch vehicle. According to the China National Space Administration, the satellite has successfully entered its designated orbit.
The new apparatus will be used for satellite communications, radio and television broadcasting and data transmission. In addition, a series of validation tests is planned on board to test new technological solutions in the field of space communications.
This mission was the 653rd launch in the history of the "Changcheng" family of rockets ("Great March"), which is the basis of the Chinese space program.
