Discussions are underway in the Brest region regarding the expansion of industrial cooperation with partners from China. This was announced by Pyotr Parkhomchik, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, at the "First Region – Territory of Success" business networking forum, which brought together over 100 representatives from countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

According to Parkhomchik, the current refrigerator manufacturing project is developing successfully, and the Chinese side has already put forward an initiative to increase production volumes. This entails the need for additional floor space and the creation of corresponding infrastructure. The region is prepared to develop the necessary facilities to accommodate this future expansion.

The household appliances manufactured in the Brest region are export-oriented, making the project economically promising. Furthermore, the Chinese partners are exploring other avenues for cooperation—including the launch of new production facilities—though specific details have not yet been disclosed.

In addition, a joint investment project in the agro-industrial sector is currently being implemented in the region. Plans are in place to construct a modern greenhouse complex near Brest, covering an area of 1.7 hectares in its initial phase. It is expected that the launch of this facility will enable a significant increase in vegetable production volumes as early as this year.
