In Belarus, during the period from January to March 2026, cigarette prices rose by 10.56% compared to the same period of the previous year. These preliminary figures were reported by the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.
Price growth continued in March; compared to February, tobacco products increased in price by 0.63%. Notably, the price dynamics were virtually identical across different market segments: the cost of domestic filtered cigarettes rose by 0.63%, while that of imported cigarettes increased by 0.64%.
Since the beginning of the current year—specifically, compared to December 2025—cigarette prices have risen by 9.83%. A more pronounced increase was recorded in the category of Belarusian-made products, whereas imported cigarettes saw a significantly smaller price hike.
Thus, the tobacco segment remains one of the most dynamic in terms of price growth, demonstrating a pace of increase that outstrips that of various other consumer goods.
