CleanCore Sells 463 Million Dogecoin Coins to Fund AI Projects

American company CleanCore, previously known for developing cleaning and disinfection systems, has completed the liquidation of its digital asset Dogecoin (DOGE) reserves. According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company sold approximately 463 million DOGE coins for a total of roughly $33.4 million. The proceeds have been directed toward funding the business's transition to artificial intelligence infrastructure.

This decision marked the final stage of CleanCore's exit from the digital asset accumulation strategy it had adopted in September 2025. At that time, the company raised $175 million through a private placement of shares with the goal of making Dogecoin its primary reserve asset. Shortly thereafter, it acquired 285.42 million DOGE coins for approximately $68 million, and management announced plans to build the position up to 1 billion tokens within 30 days. By October 2025, the organization's treasury held 710 million DOGE coins, with unrealized gains on the portfolio exceeding $20 million.

However, in 2026 the company's corporate direction underwent significant changes. In March, CleanCore terminated its asset management agreement with Dogecoin Ventures and 21Shares. A phased withdrawal of capital from the digital asset then began. The company had previously sold approximately 200 million DOGE coins for $18.4 million and transferred another 70 million tokens as payment for professional services valued at $6.8 million. Immediately before the last major transaction, the company's balance sheet held 463.06 million coins with a market value estimated at $44.3 million.

The freed-up financial resources will be invested in the construction of a specialized data center with a projected capacity of approximately 55 megawatts, located in the state of Minnesota. In parallel, CleanCore's management plans a gradual exit from its traditional core business related to the production of sanitary and hygiene equipment.

Against the backdrop of news about the actions of a major corporate holder, Dogecoin's market price showed a short-term correction. According to data from the CoinMarketCap aggregator, the asset's value declined by nearly 4% over the past 24 hours, falling to $0.08920. At the same time, on a weekly basis the asset maintained positive momentum, gaining approximately 27% in price. Such volatility reflects the market's reaction to changes in the demand structure from institutional participants.
