Born again by Chris "Peri Fractic" Simpson, the company Commodore has released a Callback button phone that is positioned as an "antimartphoner" to reduce screen time. The device blocks X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Twitch and other services, does not have a browser and email client, but saves WhatsApp, maps and retro-games. The initial price of $500 was lowered to $400 before pre-orders began.

The decision was successful: in three days, sales of Callback equaled the first month of Commodore 64 Ultimate, becoming the largest launch in modern brand history. The phone falls into the growing segment of "dumbphones" (dumbphones) competing with the Light Phone and Mudita Pure, but stands out for its recognizable Commodore brand and WhatsApp support - a critical feature for many users.

Callback was the first Commodore product outside of a retro computer niche, expanding the brand’s portfolio to include the Commodore 64 Ultimate, slim 64C and the Merch line. The success of the launch demonstrates the demand for devices that help users control digital consumption without disconnecting completely.
