DeepSigma Launches Perpetual Futures Platform for Real Assets

DeepSigma has introduced a decentralized platform for perpetual futures on real-world assets (RWA), offering a demo version with account trading capabilities on 77 traditional financial markets. This launch took place on October 13. The platform, operating on the Cypherium blockchain, is developed by a team of experts with experience at Goldman Sachs, Citadel Securities, Google, and Uber. The demo version provides access to various markets, including U.S. stocks, major stock indices, sector ETFs, commodities, and treasury bond yields. The platform enables trading without the need to own the underlying securities or commodities. DeepSigma contracts use external market prices to implement long and short positions, eliminating the need for holding tokenized assets.

DeepSigma is developing risk-controlled and zero-knowledge-based user eligibility verification systems to comply with U.S. regulatory requirements. The company's CEO, Sky Guo, emphasized that the differences between crypto and traditional financial markets require a distinct approach to trading derivatives. "Real-world markets have different operating hours, liquidity conditions, pricing sources, and regulatory considerations,"– he noted. Supported markets include perpetual contracts on the S&P 500 index, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite, Russell 2000, and VIX, as well as a range of commodity assets such as WTI crude oil, Brent crude oil, gold, silver, natural gas, and copper. Additionally, U.S. treasury bonds represent another category of supported contracts.

As DeepSigma notes, their infrastructure accounts for the specifics of traditional markets, such as exchange closures on weekends and holidays. The system also includes various protective measures, such as price calculations to limit short-term manipulation, position limits, and partial liquidation mechanisms designed to reduce positions when margin requirements are breached. Furthermore, the DeepSigma team is developing a decentralized identification system that will allow users to verify compliance with trading requirements without publicly disclosing their personal information on the blockchain. Interest in derivatives on real-world assets has increased on decentralized exchanges. According to data, in the third quarter of 2026, the trading volume of perpetual futures on real-world assets reached $365 billion, with approximately $175 billion comprising public equities. The DeepSigma platform is an important step towards integrating traditional assets into the decentralized trading world.
