The Disney Media Corporation has signed a multi-year agreement to broadcast Formula E races. This all-electric racing series will be available to viewers all over the world. The broadcasts will take place through the streaming service Disney+ in one hundred and forty-four territories. American viewers will also be able to watch the races on ESPN and ESPN+ channels. The season of two thousand twenty-sixth year includes twenty-one separate stages. The races will be held as part of thirteen major events in different cities around the world. The list of locations includes Jeddah, Austin, Miami, Monaco and Mexico City. The new season officially starts on December 18th in Saudi Jeddah. The championship will end with the final stage in Tokyo, Japan, on July twenty-fifth. The parties have not yet disclosed the financial terms of this major media agreement.

This agreement significantly expands the current sports content of the Disney streaming platform. The company's rights portfolio already includes Spanish La Liga matches. Viewers also get access to the NBA and Women's Champions League games. The controlling stake in the racing series itself belongs to Liberty Global. The organizers plan to introduce a new generation electric car in the upcoming sports season. The new car was officially named GEN4 by representatives of the racing series. The creators call it the fastest electric racing car in history. At the same time, Formula E will retain existing partnership agreements with on-air TV channels. Previously, the series successfully collaborated with CBS Sports in the United States. Previous races were broadcast on CBS, Paramount+ and The Roku Channel platforms.

Thus, the new deal expands the presence of Formula E on the world's leading streaming platforms. Disney, in turn, replenishes the sports broadcast library by providing subscribers with additional content. The agreement continues the long-standing practice of cooperation between sports leagues and media companies on the distribution of competitions through digital services.
