Telegram founder Pavel Durov has released up-to-date statistics on the infrastructure of the TON blockchain. Currently, 400 validators support network security. The Netherlands lead in weight (19%), followed by the UK (16%) and the US (14%). Telegram Messenger infrastructure accounts for 17% of the network’s total weight. Also among the largest participants are cloud providers: Equinix and OVHcloud (13% each), TeraSwitch (12%), Hetzner (9%), as well as Vultr, Latitude sh and Amazon.

This allocation allows Telegram to act as an anchor leg that maintains the stability of the network. Durov emphasized that the presence of a messenger as a powerful balancer allows exchanges and large Georgians to place funds in steakhouse without worrying about excessive centralization around a narrow circle of private players.

Durov continues the implementation of the initiative Make TON Great Again (MTONGA). In the first few days of May, commissions on the network decreased by a factor of six. The return on TON steakmaking is 18.8% per year - the best indicator among the top fifty cryptocurrencies. The new toolset has accelerated the creation of smart contracts by a factor of ten. Last week, the Toncoin rose by 27% and by almost 60% month on month.
