The popular design platform Figma announced a strategic partnership with AI giant Anthropic to launch the innovative Claude Code to Figma feature. The new tool instantly transforms AI-generated code into fully editable mockups within the graphic editor. This integration aims to eliminate the barrier between development and visual design, turning agent-based programming into a powerful catalyst for the creative process.
The key value of the solution lies in the seamless connection between AI-powered interface creation and subsequent refinement by professional teams. Users can now transfer automatically generated structures directly to Figma, where designers can compare versions, make edits, and approve final visual solutions. This move confirms the platform's leadership's belief that the development of AI will not eliminate the role of traditional design, but rather make it a more qualitative and meaningful stage in the software development lifecycle. For Anthropic, whose latest funding round valued the company at an impressive $380 billion, the partnership with Figma expands its presence in the professional software segment. Interestingly, the partnership announcement came just one day before Figma's Q4 2025 financial report. The market reacted to the news with cautious optimism: the company's shares immediately gained more than 3.6%, attempting to recover from the February sell-off in the tech sector, which analysts dubbed the "software apocalypse."
Figma continues to actively strengthen its position in the AI space, developing an entire ecosystem of products such as Figma Make and Figma Sites. The company previously integrated Google's Gemini 3 Pro and established collaboration with OpenAI through ChatGPT, which allowed it to attract a significant number of large enterprise clients. The acquisition of Weavy and close collaboration with leading models like Claude confirm Figma's intention to become a universal space where AI tools and human expertise work together in a unified online environment.
