Soyuzmultfilm announced the transition to a hybrid animation creation model in which traditional methods will be combined with artificial intelligence technologies. The complete renewal of the production cycle is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.

As told by the CEO of the film studio named after M. Gorky, Chairman of the Board of «Soyuzmultfilm» Yulian Slashchev, the networks are already integrated into daily work processes and long-term plans of the studio, and by the end of this year, content will be built on a symbiosis of traditional technologies and AI.

The changes will affect not only the internal kitchen of «Soyuzmultfilm», but also the entire industry. In the management of the studios emphasize: part of the market participants risk not being able to cope with the digital restructuring and give way to competitors. To stay afloat, companies will have to critically rethink the schemes they’ve developed over the years. One of the key drivers of reform is named the evolution of spectator habits: modern children exist in a saturated infofield and instantly switch between different types of content and screens.

In the outline of the new hybrid concept, the «360» model is being actively developed, implying a comprehensive presence of the franchise on multiple platforms and in various media appearances.
